Compliance

The Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) is the official regulating body for practising psychologists and the British Psychological Society (BPS) is the professional association of psychology.

Our clinical psychologists (clinicians) and educational psychologists (practitioners) are all fully qualified and registered. All our clinicians and practitioners have appropriate liability and indemnity insurance and are registered with the HCPC.

The use of the title ‘Neuropsychologist’ is a personal and professional choice and not governed legally. The key requirement of the HCPC is for the individual to be working within their own competence and along BPS professional guidelines. The title of ‘Clinical Neuropsychologist’ isn’t currently a legally protected title although commonly used within public, independent and medico-legal settings to identify professionals with highly specialised expertise in the diagnosis, prognosis and rehabilitation of brain-behaviour relationships.

We believe that the personnel working in neuropsychological rehabilitation for Recolo have valuable specialist experience and skills which should be reflected in their titles.
