We recognise how your child and family’s world is turned upside down following your child having a brain injury. Every part of your world is affected including at home and school, with their friends and in the community.

To determine the best way to help, we undertake an initial rehabilitation assessment.

This assessment collects information about your child’s history, cognitive, academic, behavioural, social and emotional functioning, and quality of life. The assessment also explores the whole family – the levels of stress and adjustment, development of coping skills and community reintegration.

Additional information is gathered through meetings with the school, liaison with professionals in the statutory and voluntary sector as appropriate and via standardised tests and questionnaires.

This assessment process leads to a rehabilitation assessment report with recommendations to support your child and family. Following the assessment we work in a number of different ways. See the our services section of our website.
